What can I recycle at my local HWRC?

A wide range of materials can be recycled at the Smallmead and Longshot Lane HWRCs, including:

Glass bottles and jars
Paper and card
Plastic bottles
Food tins and cans
Cartons
Used engine oil
Car batteries
Domestic batteries
Household light bulbs and fluorescent tubes
Printer cartridges
Textiles and shoes
Foil Books and CDs
Garden waste
Wood - now accepting all grades of wood including painted/treated wood, chipboard and MDF
White goods
Scrap metal
Soil and rubble
Spectacles
Electronic products
Brita water filters
Cooking Oil
